Management team

Matt Stephens, our Managing Director, isn’t just our leader—he’s a former farmer and banker turned entrepreneur, bringing a unique perspective to our team. With a wide-ranging background in various industries, Matt is always on the lookout for improvements and ways to add value for our employees, customers, and stakeholders. A transplanted Manitoban, Matt credits his wife Janine for bringing him to this great province where they are raising their twin daughters. On top of overseeing MuddRuckers, Matt is also at the helm of our sister company, Clean Sweep Manitoba.

Anthony Knapp, our General Manager, who is the driving force behind the day-to-day operation of the company. Anthony’s journey with MuddRuckers began during his school years, spending summers on a production crew. After over 10 years in the hockey and sports industry, Anthony returned to MuddRuckers in 2015. Beyond work, Anthony is a family man with a passion for sports.

Dave Knapp, an integral part of the MuddRuckers Sales team since 2015. Dave thrives on the personal connection of meeting customers, recommending tailored solutions to their needs, and ensuring our commitment to customer service shines through at every level of our operations. When he’s not helping customers, Dave and his wife Delight are enjoying the company of their four grandchildren and actively participating in various charitable causes.

Donna Reid, our cheerful Sales Assistant since 2005. Donna is often the warm voice that greets you first. Her exceptional customer service skills and in-depth knowledge contribute immensely to the seamless functioning of the entire MuddRuckers team. Outside of work, Donna and her husband Keith share a passion for travel, camping adventures, and the joy of their beloved dog, Gus.

Our Founders

Doug Cook Retired CPA and lifelong businessman, deeply involved in charitable causes and his 7 grandchildren. Retired in 2023 to focus on Urban Lumber.

Dan Skibitzky With a background in construction and foundations, retired in 2015 to focus on his family after conceiving the idea of MuddRuckers and developing the vision with Doug in the late 1980s and 1990s.
